In line with the policy aimed at encouraging innovation and creating jobs, especially the implementation of Resolution 1275, which stipulates the establishment of a start-up institution or the registration of a patent for end-of-study projects, by supporting the pace of partnership with the economic environment in the region, Kasdi Merbah University signed a cooperation agreement on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. A bilateral agreement with Schlumberger to establish an accompaniment center for holders of projects and ideas in southern Algeria, and to establish a practical partnership between Kasdi Merbah University and one of the most important economic actors in the petroleum field in the world. This agreement reflects Schlumberger’s keenness to encourage entrepreneurship and support development in many strategic sectors.
And the foundation of the national economy, such as energy, environment and agriculture in the region.
The terms of this agreement are summarized in the creation of a sponsorship incubator for entrepreneurs, fully funded by Schlumberger, to ensure the crystallization and embodiment of their ideas and innovations to give added value to the national economy and to encourage research and translation of research and theoretical ideas resulting from the scientific training that the university specializes in as a publishing institution. Knowledge and science were transferred to emerging institutions that the Algerian state gave all support to revive the national economy.
Kasdi Merbah University places among its priorities and goals the promotion of cooperation and exchange with its external surroundings to contribute to local development as a priority to embark on the development train that begins with an idea and a study to be achieved thanks to the combined efforts with our partners in the southern Algerian region, which we have seen from the management of Schlumberger Company by presenting a future vision. Promising bilateral cooperation and its embodiment on the ground by encouraging innovation and entrepreneurial thought and creating job positions for the people of the region.
