Competition for the best scientific publication at the University of Kasdi-Merbah Ouargla

Terms of participation

To encourage and promote scientific research, and to shed light on the most prominent contributions of the university’s research students and professors, the University of Ouargla announces the organization of the competition for the best scientific publication for the year 2023, indexed in the database (Scopus, WoS) A+, A or B. It is an initiative aimed at promoting and valuing excellence in Scientific research, as the publications indexed in these databases are considered the most influential in the field of scientific and academic research.

1- Selection and selection criteria
Publication period: Studies published as of 2019 are taken into account.
Research field: Publication topics must be within one of the following research fields:
energy security;
Food security;
health security;
Other fields.
Localization of the author: The localization of the publication must be at the University of Kasdi-Merbah Ouargla.
International cooperation: If the publication is the result of international cooperation, the nature of the project and its context must be clarified.
The publication must not have won a competition held by other institutions.
Selection criteria depend on:

Indexing of the journal Scopus, WoS
The reputation of the magazine, the topic published, and its impact factor,
Number of times the article has been cited;
The relevance and novelty of the topic at hand,
The role of the candidate, and his arrangement among the authors (main author - accompanying author)

3- Number of winners: Four (04) publications will be selected, with one (01) article winning in each of the above-mentioned fields.
