Best Scientific Publication Competition at Kasdi Merbah University of Ouargla

Participation Conditions

To encourage and promote scientific research, and to highlight the most prominent contributions of university students and professors, Ouargla University announces the organization of the Best Scientific Publication Competition for the year 2024, indexed in the database (Scopus, WoS) A+, A or B, which is an initiative aimed at promoting and valuing excellence in scientific research, as publications indexed in these databases are considered the most influential in the field of scientific and academic research.

1- Selection and selection criteria
Publication period: Studies published since 2020 are taken into consideration.
Only one article can be participated by each candidate.
Research field: The topics of the publications must be within one of the following research fields:
Energy security;
Food security;
Health security;
Other fields.
Author's localization: The publication must be located at Kasdi Merbah University of Ouargla.
International collaboration: If the publication is the result of international collaboration, the nature of the project and its context must be clarified.

The publication must not have won a competition held by other institutions.

The selection criteria are based on:

Journal indexing

Journal reputation, published topic, and its impact factor

Number of times the article has been cited;

Relevance and novelty of the topic,
The role of the candidate, and his/her ranking among the authors (main author - accompanying author)

2- How to participate:

3- Number of winners: Four (04) publications will be selected, with one (01) article winning in each of the above-mentioned fields
