On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Professor Abdelfattah Abi Mouloud, Vice-Rector of the University of Ouargla for Higher Education (first and second cycles, continuing education, diplomas, and advanced training in progression), held a pedagogical meeting attended by the Vice-Deans for Pedagogy and the heads of the university's eleven fields. The university is considered the engine of national development and the institution entrusted with preparing national competencies under the impact of the revolution in modern information and communication technologies.
The attendees discussed mechanisms for renewing and reviewing training programs, including the inclusion of free software and open source, as well as programming, artificial intelligence, and their applications within various educational programs at the bachelor's, master's, and engineering studies levels. This is in accordance with ministerial correspondence from the General Directorate of Education and Training, in anticipation of the upcoming 2025/2026 academic year, so that these programs keep pace with rapid local and global changes, particularly economic and social transformations.
