University Works
Through its many services (accommodation, catering, scholarships, transport), the management of the University Works of the Wilaya of Ouargla can facilitate your integration and your daily life.
To ensure that your first steps in our university and on campus do not turn into an obstacle course, various practical information (accommodation, catering, transport, preventive medicine) has been grouped together in this section.
Accommodation
Regularly registered students can benefit from University works (accommodation) for this they must make a request when pre-registering. Accommodation requests and allocation are managed by the Department of University Works of the Wilaya of Ouargla (DOU Ouargla), Tel: 029 71.
The benefit of accommodation in a university residence is subject to the following conditions:
be enrolled in a higher education institution and meet the educational and geographical criteria for enrollment.
be under the age of 28.
live more than 50 km from the University for boys and more than 30 km for girls.
Documents required :
Form to be obtained from the DOU administration,
Photocopy of the legalized BAC,
Photocopy of the legalized registration certificate,
Certificate of residence less than three months old,
Birth certificate or individual file,
Medical certificates (general medicine, phthisiology),
02 stamped envelopes addressed to the student's home,
02 passport photos.
University Residences
The Department of University Works of the Wilaya of Ouargla includes the following university residences:

University residence 2000 beds Route de Meneaa (Boys)
University residences, reserved for students (including doctoral students) are managed by the DOU, a public body whose mission is to promote the living and working conditions of students in higher education establishments.
Restoration
Tickets are on sale at the counters of the university restaurant of the University residence (the price is 1.20 DA approximately 0.1 €).
The restaurant is open every day (7 days a week).

Scholarships
Obtaining a scholarship is subject to the following conditions:
Be a bachelor and regularly enrolled in a course or common core of higher education. This is awarded for the entire period of studies from the first year of registration. In the event of failure (repetition of a year) it is renewed only once. Its payment is suspended in the event of a second failure; it can only be restored in the event of a move to a higher year during the course.

Photocopy of the legalized BAC,
Photocopy of the university registration certificate,
Parent's income statement (or monthly payslip):
Parents' retirement statement (in the case of retirees),
Declaration of legalized non-activity (in the case of non-activity of the parents),
Extract from the IRG of the parents (in the case of the exercise of a liberal profession),
Death or divorce certificate of the parents,
Two (02) stamped envelopes labeled with the student's address,
A photo,
Crossed CCP postal check in the name of the student.
University Transportation
Urban transport
Student transport is provided between university residences and the various campuses of Kasdi Merbah University in Ouargla by the University Works Department, against payment of a symbolic annual subscription. Student transport is provided by the DOU at a subsidized rate of 15 DA per month.
Suburban transportation
It is intended for non-resident students, whose family home is more than 50 km away for boys, and more than 30 km for girls.
