Within the framework of cooperation between the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences (Department of Biology) at the University of Kasdi Merbah Ouargla, and in coordination with the establishment of a joint research team with the Institut Pasteur Algeria, as well as an embodiment of the recommendations of the Minister of Health in his visits to the Immunology Laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ouargla and under the supervision of Professor "Khair El-Din Karbouaa" Discussion of 03 Master’s notes on scorpion poisoning, on September 29, 2020, at the College of Nature and Life Sciences. The administration of the latter took care to respect all preventive measures and health protocols to ensure safety and the optimal flow of discussions.
As the graduate students reviewed the most important scientific findings and discoveries achieved and reached in their research projects, including:
-1- Second (2) national study on the effect of toxins of various scorpions on blood clotting and blood cells.
-2- Extraction of scorpion antivenom serum from scorpion blood itself.
-3- Study and analysis of immune cells of various scorpions.
-4- Pharmaceutical evaluation of various scorpion poisons in stimulating and inhibiting the toxic system.
-5- Study the efficacy of immunomodulatory on cellular oxidation in scorpion poisoning.
-6- Study the efficacy of immunomodulatory in scorpion poisoning.
The administration of the two colleges (the College of Medicine and the College of Nature and Life Sciences) hopes to communicate the results of these researches, being recent and accurate to a large extent, to the concerned authorities and guardianship, work with them and develop them in national and foreign laboratories, and then embody them on the ground according to each region and its peculiarities, and propose prospects for studies similar to these researches.
