Revival of the National Martyr's Day at the University of Ouargla The University of Kasdi Merbah Ouargla commemorates the National Martyr’s Day, which falls on February 18, 2023, in the Great Lecture Hall, by holding a celebration to commemorate this historic occasion under the slogan “Planting history is the fruit of the new Algeria”, in the presence of the university family as well as the revolutionary family. This occasion aims to establish links between Generations and reminding young people of the sacrifices of the ancestors in order to draw lessons and follow in their footsteps. The 18th of February of each year was taken as a day to celebrate the memory of the martyr, in gratitude for the sacrifices made by the martyrs. This day represents a pause to know the stage of colonialism that the Algerian people lived through. The souls of the martyrs and raising the national flag at the entrance of the university’s directorate, and then moving to the conference hall for the attendees to plant trees in its surroundings.
