Study days activities on promoting emerging institutions in the field of ensuring food and health security

This morning, Tuesday, February 6, 2024, the activities of the study days on promoting emerging institutions in the field of ensuring food and health security were launched at the level of the conference hall of the University Directorate, organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Material Sciences, Department of Chemistry, University of Kasdi-Merbah Ouargla, which extends from 06 to 08. February 2024 under the slogan “STARTUP”, after the Deputy Director in charge of External Relations, Mr. Mehdi Qadri, representing the University Director, Professor Muhammad Al-Taher Hulailat, gave the signal for the start of these national academic days.
Which addresses the main topics, which are the manufacture of nutritional supplements and natural cosmetics, the cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants, the extraction of essential oils, in addition to traditional and modern herbal products.
Hosted by Algerian researcher Hassan Jawad, an expert in the nutritional supplements industry, and Professor Roubai Mounir Nasreddine, head of the National Organization for Economic Development, along with Dr. Kamal Boutouba, a specialist in clinical trials in the nutritional supplements industry, and Dr. Roubai Amira, a pharmacy specialist and lecturer at the University of Blida.
The organizing committee was represented by the head of the demonstration: Prof. Dr. Balfar Muhammad Al-Akhdar, and Chairman of the Organizing Committee: Prof. Dr. Makhlifi Tariq, along with the Chair of the Scientific Committee: Prof. Dr. Zawi Manal.
These study days aim to exchange experiences between researchers and specialists in the field of ensuring food and health security and encourage emerging institutions in this field, as well as learning about the latest developments in the field of manufacturing nutritional supplements, natural cosmetics, cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants, and herbal products through lectures. And applied workshops
Professors and researchers from various universities in Algeria, in addition to experts and specialists from the private sector, participate in these study days to enrich the discussion on the subject through valuable lectures and interventions, such as students in the fields of food sciences, pharmacy, chemistry, medicine, and entrepreneurs. To come up with important recommendations that would contribute to upgrading emerging institutions in the field of ensuring food and health security.
