Today, April 1, 2024, the University of Kasdi Merbah Ouargla witnessed, via distance learning technology, the signing ceremony of a partnership agreement with Grozny State University of Petroleum in Russia. The signing ceremony was opened with welcoming words by Professor Mohamed Taher Hulilat, Rector of the University of Kasdi-Merbah Ouargla, who discussed the history of relations between Algeria and Russia, and was confirmed by Professor Šavalovic, Rector of Grozny University.
This was followed by a presentation on the University of Ouargla and the prospects for cooperation by Professor Kadri Mohamed Mahdi, Deputy Director of the University for External Relations and Cooperation.
The two parties agreed on several cooperative measures, including enhancing the mobility of doctoral students and researchers in the field of oil and gas exploration, in addition to launching an international master’s program in the field of hydrocarbon exploration.
This initiative is an important step towards strengthening academic ties and scientific cooperation between the two universities, opening the door to new opportunities for research and development in the energy sector.
Professor Mohamed Al-Taher Hulilat confirmed that the University of Kasdi-Merbah Ouargla, with all its human and material capabilities, is being harnessed for the success of this agreement.
