As usual, Kasdi Merbah University of Ouargla has been a leader in national scientific forums, taking first place in the field of "Artificial Intelligence" in the regional qualifiers for Eastern Universities for the Artificial Intelligence and Programming Olympiad. The University of Ouargla has qualified for the national finals, scheduled for Thursday, May 15, 2025, in Algiers.

The team consists of students from the Department of Computer Science: Mohamed El Hadi Salami, Taher Razak Badida, and Mohamed Lamine Ben Habirich.
The "Gro wth" project is distinguished by its strategic importance, particularly in the field of food security, a national priority. The application uses an effective artificial intelligence model capable of quickly and accurately diagnosing various plant diseases. The system's architecture allows for its potential integration into integrated platforms such as drones, paving the way for efficient automation of agricultural monitoring on a large scale.
