The University of Ouargla is organizing scientific days on "Photovoltaic Systems and Renewable Energy Potential in Algeria and Tunisia," with the participation of the University of Sfax.

The Faculty of Modern Information and Communication Technologies, in collaboration with the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Sfax, Tunisia, organized scientific days on the topic: "Photovoltaic Systems and Renewable Energy Potential in Algeria and Tunisia." The event was attended by the Vice-Rector for Pedagogy, deans of the faculties of the third university pole, and a group of professors, researchers, and experts from both universities. The event also featured the Zargoun Green Energy Foundation and the University Incubator in Ouargla.

The Vice-Rector of the University opened the scientific days, noting the great importance the Algerian state attaches to the issue of energy security and emphasizing the need to intensify scientific events in this vital field. He also officially announced the start of the two-day activities.

For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Modern Information and Communication Technologies welcomed the guests and experts, opening the scientific sessions, which included a series of lectures and interventions, most notably:

- A lecture on the energy transition in Tunisia, presented by Professor Monji Khalil Allah from the Faculty of Sciences in Sfax.

- A presentation entitled "Algeria's Ambitious Goals in the Field of Renewable Energy," moderated by Professor Amari Chaib.

In addition to a series of topics related to renewable energy, including:

- An Overview of Solar Panels

- Energy Storage Technologies: Lithium Batteries vs. Lead-Acid Batteries

- Photovoltaic System Design

- Solar Water Pumping Systems

- Guide to Selecting an Inverter Using SMA Solar Technology

The workshop will extend over two days and aims to enhance scientific cooperation between Algeria and Tunisia in the field of renewable energy through the exchange of knowledge and experiences between researchers, students, and experts. The scientific days will also include industrial visits and field trips to laboratories to learn about the latest innovations in clean energy technology.
