A pause of mercy for the souls of the martyrs of the events of October 17, 1961 - Within the framework of commemorating the 62nd anniversary of National Immigration Day and in implementation of the decision of the President of the Republic regarding the establishment of a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs of the massacres of October 17, 1961, the entire university family, headed by the University Rector, Professor Mohamed Al-Taher Hulailat, organized a pause of mercy and a minute of silence and laid a wreath. Flowers and reading verses from the Holy Quran as a tribute to the martyrs on the morning of Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the headquarters of the University Directorate. On October 12, 2023, on the sidelines of the National Universities Symposium, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamal Badari, presented the Ministry’s #Order of Merit to the directors of 23 of the best university institutions, including the #Kasdi_Merbah_Ouargla_University, in honor of them, and for their presence in the Times “THE” classification, 2024 edition, to occupy Thus, Algeria ranks first in the Arab world and second in Africa.

The academic day concluded with His Excellency the Minister honoring the most important emerging institutions active in the field of marine fishing and aquaculture.
