The Vice-Rectorate for External Relations, Cooperation, Communication, and Scientific Events
The Vice-Rectorate for External Relations, Cooperation, Communication, and Scientific Events is responsible for enhancing the university’s openness to its national and international environment by developing academic and scientific partnerships, strengthening communication activities both internally and externally, and ensuring the effective organization of scientific and cultural events.
It also oversees the follow-up of agreements, twinning, and exchange programs, promotes the university’s image through various communication channels, and coordinates scientific activities to highlight research dynamics and academic initiatives across the university’s faculties and institutes.
Structures and Departments:
The Vice-Rectorate for External Relations, Cooperation, Communication, and Scientific Events includes the following departments:
- Department of Inter-University Cooperation, Exchange, and Partnerships.
- Department of Communication, Outreach, and Scientific Events.
- Preparation and proposal of cooperation, twinning, and partnership agreements with universities and research centers both nationally and internationally.
- Monitoring the implementation of concluded agreements and evaluating their progress in coordination with the relevant structures at the university level.
- Organization and management of academic exchange programs for students, professors, and researchers, and regulation of the related administrative procedures.
- Promotion and development of cooperation with various academic, scientific, and cultural institutions.
- Collection and analysis of data related to national and international cooperation, and preparation of periodic reports thereon.
- Providing administrative support and assistance for joint projects between the university and its partners.
- Contributing to enhancing the university’s image at both the national and international levels by expanding its network of cooperation and partnerships.
- Preparation and implementation of the university’s institutional communication plan, ensuring its alignment with the university’s strategic orientations.
- Monitoring and coordinating internal and external communication across various media and channels (digital, media, advertising, etc.).
- Organization and support of scientific, cultural, and pedagogical events organized by or involving the university.
- Ensuring media coverage of university events and activities, and coordinating with national media outlets.
- Preservation and archiving of data and documents related to events and scientific and media activities.
- Preparation of periodic reports on completed activities and submission thereof to the relevant vice-rectorate.
- Ensuring the archiving and organization of databases of research and publications.
- Presidential Decree No. 14-196 dated 08 Ramadan 1435 corresponding to 06 July 2014, laying down the organization of training and skills improvement abroad and their management.
