This evening, February 25, 2025, the University President, Professor Mohamed Taher Halilat, chaired the Directorate Council meeting in the meeting hall of the University Directorate, in the presence of the University Secretary-General, the Vice-Presidents, the Deans of the Faculties and the Directors of the two Institutes, the Head of the Quality Assurance Cell, and the Head of the Systems and Networks Center.

The agenda of the Directorate Council meeting focused on a set of points, which were as follows:

- Presenting the final results of the 2024/2025 doctoral competition

- Status of progress of the quality management system file.

- Miscellaneous.

- The Scientific Corner Club (cfc) organizes a national forum entitled "IGNITE ALGERIA"

- In conjunction with the commemoration of the (53) anniversary of the nationalization of hydrocarbons, which falls on February 24 of each year, the Scientific Corner Club (cfc), which is active at the Faculty of Hydrocarbons, Renewable Energy, Earth Sciences and Space, organized on Sunday, February 23, 2025, a national day entitled "IGNITE ALGERIA", with the contribution of the national institution AlSCIF, and the participation of experts and specialists in the field and scientific clubs representing five national universities, namely the University of Boumerdes, the University of Batna, the University of Bechar, the University of Annaba, and the University of Skikda.

The first day of the scientific event witnessed the attendance of the Secretary-General of the University, the Dean of the College of Hydrocarbons and Renewable Energy and Earth and Space Sciences, and the official of the National Foundation AlSCIF. It witnessed a significant presence of student project owners, and during it a group of scientific workshops were organized that were characterized by stimulating scientific discussions related to hydrocarbons and renewable energy, innovation in the field of energy, and the uses of artificial intelligence in the energy fields. The guests also visited an exhibition representing innovative models of scientific clubs in the field of energy.

It is worth noting that this scientific forum will last until Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

In the framework of supporting and promoting investment in Algeria, the state of Ouargla hosted the activities of the regional investment forum at the Linal Palace Hotel this morning, Thursday, February 20, 2025, organized by the Algerian Agency for Investment Promotion (AAPI) in coordination with the state of Ouargla, under the slogan:

"Promising investment qualifications and opportunities for sustainable economic growth"

- The forum was attended by Mr. Wali of Ouargla, Mr. Advisor to the President of the Republic, the Wali of Touggourt, the Wali of El Oued, the Secretary General of Ghardaia, the President of the State People's Assembly, in addition to the Director General of the Algerian Investment Agency, as well as local and security authorities, and local elected officials.

- During this important event, the investment opportunities available in the region were highlighted, with a discussion of ways to facilitate procedures for investors and stimulate economic projects that contribute to achieving sustainable development.

- This forum reflects the commitment of local and central authorities to support investors and strengthen the national economy, in line with the general strategy of the state aimed at developing an attractive investment environment.

On the sidelines of the regional investment forum, the Director General of the National Investment Agency paid a courtesy visit to the University of Ouargla, where he was received by the President of the University and the Chief of Staff. The discussion revolved around the role of the university in the investment process and how to involve graduating students in this process and promote the national economy.

As part of the celebration of the National Martyr's Day, which falls on February 18 of each year, the University of Kasdi Merbah Ouargla organized, on Monday morning, February 17, 2025, a national forum entitled "The Power of Algerian Diplomacy between Historical Constants and International Tensions", a university of citizenship, institutional immunity, historical reference, in the lecture hall of the Faculty of Economics and Commerce at University Pole 2, in coordination with the National Federation of Higher Education and Scientific Research, University Branch, in the presence of the Wali of Ouargla, Mr. Abdelghani Filali, and the security and military authorities, in addition to the deans of the university's faculties, prominent academic and union cadres, and student representatives at the University of Ouargla.

In this context, the State Secretary of the National Federation of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ouargla University Branch, on behalf of the Secretary General of the National Federation of Higher Education and Scientific Research, touched on Algeria's diplomatic and historical position.

In this regard, the families of the martyrs Shenin Kaddorou and Khalil Abdelkader were honored, in a gesture of loyalty to the martyrs of the nation who contributed to shaping the features of Algerian diplomacy since the liberation revolution.

The event also witnessed the organization of interventions related to the subject presented by a group of professors and experts.

The forum also included an open exhibition for cultural and scientific clubs for activities that embody the occasion, in addition to parallel activities inside the hall.

It is noteworthy that the forum concluded with a discussion session and recommendations from the attending researchers and professors, stressing the need to continue such meetings to enhance understanding of Algerian diplomacy in light of international changes.
