House of Artificial Intelligence at Kasdi Merbah University, Ouargla: A Space for Creativity and Excellence

In order to enhance students' capabilities and develop their skills in the field of artificial intelligence, the University of Kasdi Merbah Ouargla seeks to create an educational and creative environment that encourages innovation and the development of student projects. From this standpoint, a series of intensive training and training courses for university students have been launched since October, under the supervision of the Director of the House of Artificial Intelligence and its affiliated scientific club.
This initiative aims to enable students to exploit artificial intelligence techniques in their academic and professional projects, where high-level training is provided by a specialized and qualified team. The scientific club *ELITECH* has played a pivotal role in the success of these programs by organizing workshops and innovative scientific events that seek to consolidate the culture of artificial intelligence among students.
The House of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Kasdi Merbah Ouargla is a constantly active platform, receiving students on an ongoing basis to provide the necessary support to transform their ideas into tangible projects that serve the needs of society and keep pace with global technological developments.

NET SERVICE OGX Startup Honored

The startup NET SERVICE OGX, owned by Mr. Mohamed Djilali Mimi and the startup team, was honored at the International Conference Center as part of the African Startup Conference for winning first place nationally in a competition organized by Algeria Post under the name innovpost hackathon on the subject of Logistics Optimization, by presenting a solution based on Internet of Things (IOT) technology for Algeria Post, under the supervision of the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Mr. Ali Zerouki, accompanied by the Director General of Algeria Post and under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
Conducting mid-term elections for members of the Constitutional Court from among university professors.
The President of the University of Ouargla, Professor Mohamed Taher Halilat, attended today, Saturday, December 7, 2024, the elections for professors as members of the Constitutional Court (midterm) under the chairmanship of the President of the Ouargla Court, at the headquarters of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the university. The process witnessed the candidacy of three (3) professors at the regional symposium of the Eastern Universities, where one of them will be elected to the Constitutional Court.
The Constitutional Court formation includes 12 members, including six (6) members elected by ballot from among the professors of constitutional law, distributed equally among the regional symposia of the universities (two seats for each symposium).
- The university administration has provided all the necessary requirements for the electoral process to proceed in the best conditions, which was evident through the strict organization that characterized the process, which lasted from eight in the morning until three in the afternoon of the same day.


Visit of Professor Luis Miguel to the University of Ouargla from the University of Coimbra
Within the framework of the European Erasmus+ program, the University of Kasdi Merbah Ouargla received Professor Luis Miguel from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, on a visit from December 1 to 5, 2024.
His visit was marked by an intensive program that included the faculties of Mathematics and Materials Sciences and Applied Sciences, where he met with professors from the two faculties, gave distinguished scientific presentations to doctoral students, and visited various scientific laboratories affiliated with the two faculties, including the CRAPC laboratory.
At the end of the visit, Professor Luis met with the University President, Professor Mohamed Taher Halilat, and the Vice President for External Relations and Cooperation, Professor Kadri Mohamed Mahdi, in addition to the Head of the Office, Professor Sayagh Ramzi. The meeting discussed ways to enhance future cooperation between the two universities and expand the areas of academic and scientific partnership.



Study day entitled "Green Environment: Waste Management and Soil Protection"
On the occasion of the World Soil Protection Day, which falls on December 5 of each year, and under the auspices of the Faculty of Mathematics and Material Sciences, the Department of Chemistry organized on Thursday, December 5, 2024, in the discussion hall at the University Pole No. 1, a study day entitled "Green Environment: Waste Management and Soil Protection", with the contribution of the university's social and economic partners, and in the presence of professors and students of the Department of Chemistry. The scientific day began with clear verses from the Holy Quran and listening to the national anthem. Professor Mohamed Lakhdar Belfar, Vice Dean of the Faculty in charge of studies, opened the event's activities. There were also a number of interventions by the Head of the Department of Chemistry, Professor Zankhri Louisa, Professor Sebouker Hicham and Moussaoui Yassin, and representatives of economic institutions and social partners. In the same context and within the framework of the national tree planting campaign set by the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research in university institutions, the Faculty's Cultural, Scientific and Sports Activities Department, in coordination with the Environment Directorate, the State Directorate of Forestry and the Jawhara Chemistry Club, organized a tree planting campaign under the title "A Tree for Every Student". An exhibition of environmental products was also organized by the participants in the study day and university clubs. At the end of this scientific day, the participants who contributed to the success of the event were honored, and a significant number of trees were planted with the participation of the university family in all its spectra.



National Competition / Aviation / Rocketry 2024
Wednesday, December 3, 2024: Participation of a team of students from the Electronics Club from the Electronics and Communications Department in the Algerian Inter-University Competition in the field of aviation, "Rocket" 2024 in its fifth edition, which was supervised by the Institute of Aviation and Space Studies at the University of Blida 1
This competition witnessed the participation of (14) national universities and schools in addition to the participation of a Tunisian university. It is worth noting that the competition is originally about making a rocket, but what distinguishes this edition is the addition of some criteria in choosing the best project such as designing the rocket, engine, electronics, and the important thing is creating a hybrid engine, and all this under the supervision of a jury that includes professors and specialists from national and international competencies, including Mr. Kharrat Abdelkader, an engineer at Bombardier Aviation Company based in Canada, in addition to a group of specialists from the Algerian Space Agency.
It is worth noting that the competition continues until Thursday, December 5, 2024.

In celebration of the International Volunteer Day, which falls on December 5 of each year
The Faculty of Hydrocarbons and Renewable Energy organized, this morning, Thursday, December 5, 2024, a study day under the slogan "Your safety is a trust, preserve it". The event witnessed the active participation of the National Gendarmerie, Civil Protection, the Directorate of Religious Affairs, the National Association for Road Safety and Prevention, and the Setram Foundation. The program included a series of lectures and purposeful interventions that focused on the importance of volunteering in promoting public safety and spreading community awareness through a photo and equipment exhibition in which the various participating bodies displayed their equipment and roles in promoting security and prevention. A tree-planting campaign was also organized with the aim of spreading the culture of environmental conservation and raising awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability, similar to a virtual traffic accident maneuver during which the specialized teams demonstrated how to deal with traffic accidents and provide first aid in a practical way.
