The activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week for the 2024-2025 academic year were launched this Monday morning, November 18, 2024, at the University of Kasdi Merbah, Ouargla, in the Grand Conference Hall of the University Directorate, under the patronage of the Wali of Ouargla, and in the presence of the Director of the University of Ouargla, Professor Mohamed Taher Halilat, the Secretary General of the University and the University's executives, in addition to the local, state, security and military authorities, as well as social and economic partners. The first day of the event organized by the University Incubator at the University of Ouargla included a rich and diverse program that included interventions and lectures on innovative entrepreneurship, such as successful experiences that were presented as successful innovative samples of start-ups for students who obtained the Label with the support of the university incubator and many partners such as training institutes and support devices ANED, ENGEM.

Within the framework of the bilateral partnership between the University of Kasdi Merbah and TotalEnergies, Professor Mohamed Taher Halilat received today, Sunday, November 17, 2024, a delegation of TotalEnergies experts in the presence of Professor Mohamed Mehdi Kadri, Vice-Rector of the University in charge of External Relations and Cooperation. The visit of the TotalEnergies delegation aims to activate training courses for master's students in the fields of petroleum economics, basics of petroleum exploration, and oil developments in offshore wells.

As part of the efforts of the Faculty of Law and Political Science administration to take care of the category of students with disabilities and special abilities and its keenness to ensure that they receive lessons well in a manner that suits their condition, and in coordination with the Digital Center for People with Disabilities, today, Thursday, November 14, 2024, the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science held a meeting in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Faculty, the Vice-Deans of the Faculty, the Head of the Law Department, the Head of the Faculty Library, the Pedagogical Support for the People with Disabilities, the Heads of the Digital Center for People with Disabilities, and the supervising professors.

- During this meeting, the lessons of the first semester's courses were delivered using "Braille" technology, and "audible audio" lessons were delivered for the benefit of students with disabilities who do not master the "Braille" technology.

The Dean also stressed the need to attach copies of Word files to the publications deposited at the library so that professors can obtain the scientific extract for the purpose of rehabilitation, and stressed the need to take care of the category of people with disabilities by providing rooms that suit their condition.

- In conclusion, the attendees praised the efforts made by the employees of the Digital Center for People with Disabilities, and their emphasis on improving the quality of publications.

- It is worth noting that the administration of the Faculty of Law and Political Science at Kasdi Merbah University was a pioneer in providing lessons in Braille technology at the national level, and is considered a model to be emulated due to the efforts it makes to improve the conditions of supervision for the category of people with disabilities.

Within the framework of strengthening friendships and international relations, this morning, Thursday, November 14, 2024, in the meeting hall at the university directorate level, the university director, Professor Muhammad al-Tahir Halilat, organized a friendly meeting with international students, in the presence of the vice-directors, the sub-director of activities, and a number of university cadres. During the meeting, the director stressed the university's commitment to providing the best for international students in terms of academics and services, in line with their ambitions and aspirations, stressing that the university is constantly seeking to develop the educational environment and provide services that meet their needs and provide them with the necessary support.

They expressed their gratitude for being at the University of Qasid Merbah Ouargla, thanking the university for its constant concern for their comfort and providing all the requirements that contribute to improving their educational experience and enhancing their opportunities to integrate into the local community in a smooth and fruitful manner.

The Innovation and Development Club for English Speakers ITES, the Modern Communication Technologies Club CNTIC, the Electronics Club ELN, the Artificial Intelligence Association, the Future Technology Alliance Club, the Computer Geniuses Club, the Oyoun Cultural Club, the Wireless Communications and Innovation Club TWIC.

- The Faculty of Modern Information and Communication Technologies aims, through organizing these open doors, to introduce the interest of scientific, cultural, and sports activities and to introduce university clubs and display their work and activities, and to discover the talents available at the college while working to frame and develop them, and seeks to attract students to join university clubs.

The Universities of Ouargla and Biskra were able to reserve a place for themselves among the top 10 universities in terms of the number of citations, according to the ARCIF 2024 report, as the University of Kasdi Merbah in Ouargla came in sixth place with a total of 6066 citations, while the University of Mohamed Khider in Biskra came in tenth place with a total of 4904 citations. According to the same report, Iraq won first place, with what was achieved by the “University of Baghdad”, which obtained 10739 citations, while the total number of articles published in scientific journals by authors affiliated with the University of Baghdad, and whose articles were cited, amounted to 4301 articles, and “Ain Shams University” in Egypt advanced to second place, as the number of scientific citations achieved by authors affiliated with it amounted to 8039 citations, and the number of their articles cited amounted to 2232 scientific articles.

In third place was King Saud University in Saudi Arabia, where the number of scientific citations achieved by authors affiliated with the university reached 7933 citations, while the volume of scientific production from published scientific articles cited by them was 1833 scientific articles.

Jordan achieved the fourth and fifth places respectively, where Yarmouk University came in fourth place, through the number of scientific citations obtained by authors affiliated with it, which amounted to 6545 scientific citations, while the number of scientific articles published by them and cited by them amounted to 1437 articles, followed by the University of Jordan.

For reference, the Arab Impact Factor (ARCIF) recently published the results of its ninth annual journal report for the year 2024, where approximately 5,000 scientific and research journals published in Arabic by approximately 1,500 scientific and research bodies were reviewed, and 1,201 scientific journals succeeded in achieving the 32 criteria adopted by ARCIF. The report also included a review of the data and results of 311,000 Arab authors, whose research was limited to 850,000 scientific articles, which showed that more than 85,000 Arab authors had their scientific and academic production cited.
