This morning, Sunday, June 9, 2024, Kasdi Merbah University witnessed, at the #House_of_Artificial_Intelligence, the signing of a partnership agreement with Total Energy Algeria to establish a FabLab. This laboratory aims to provide a space for creativity and innovation for students and entrepreneurs, equipped with the latest equipment for digital manufacturing, 3D printing, robotics, and electronics.
This partnership confirms the commitment of both Kasdi Merbah University and Total Energy to support Algerian youth, provide opportunities for university students, and guide them to practical life through entrepreneurial thought, which is the general direction of the strategy for higher education and scientific research in the country.

Within the framework of the European project ERODITE, the Rector of the University of Ouargla, Professor Mohamed Al-Tahar Hulilat, on Tuesday, June 3, 2024, chaired the selection process of students to participate in a 15-day training program at Akdeniz University in Türkiye. The meeting was attended by the University’s Deputy Rector for Scientific Research, Professor Muhammad Kafi Radwan, and Dr. Hamza Laouini in his capacity as project coordinator, as well as Professors Suleiman Hosseini, Nabila Hammad and Professor Bouzaher, in their capacity as members of the project.
After the students presented their projects to the committee, 6 students were selected to join the training program.

This morning, Tuesday, June 4, 2024, the University of Kasdi-Merbah Ouargla, in coordination with the Ouargla District Council, organized a sensitization study day on forest fire prevention, in the conference hall of the University Directorate, in the presence of the University Director, Professor Mohamed Al-Taher Hleilat, the President of the Ouargla District Council, and the Attorney General of the Council. The judiciary, along with the local, security and military authorities, the Secretary-General of the University, the deputy directors, and the deans of the colleges.
Professors and researchers from the university also participated in this event, in addition to representatives of various relevant sectors, including civil protection, forestry, agriculture, religious affairs, and legal specialists.
The study day dealt with various aspects of preventing forest fires, the causes of their outbreak, as well as ways to prevent them, and touched on the environmental, economic and social impacts of forest fires, as well as tightening control over forests to prevent the outbreak of fires, in addition to enhancing cooperation between the various sectors concerned.

In accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Algerian universities to establish a program commemorating the 62nd anniversary of Independence and Youth Day during the period from June 1 to July 5, 2024, activities commemorating the historical occasion were launched today, Monday, June 3, 2024, at the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, under the patronage of the University Rector. Professor Mohamed Al-Taher Hleilat, under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Mr. Abdullah Kamasi, and in the presence of Mr. Baba Hani Ismail, Director of the Mujahid State Museum of the State of Ouargla, who gave a historical lecture in which he touched on the great sacrifices of the Algerian people in order to achieve freedom and independence and the most important historical stations that preceded independence, as well as The lecture was attended by senior staff and professors from Kasdi Merbah University students.
