In implementation of the instructions of the Director of the University of Kasdi Merbah Ouargla, which stipulates the opening of open doors for colleges and institutes in the period from October 1 to 10, 2024, the Faculty of Mathematics and Material Sciences organized on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, open doors for the college for the benefit of students and high school pupils. These days aim to introduce the college, its departments and the specializations it offers, and the facilities provided for the benefit of professors and students, represented by pedagogical laboratories, scientific research laboratories, the central library, Internet halls and computer science laboratories. During these events, the scientific clubs present in the college were introduced and some of their activities were presented.

In implementation of the qualification decision No. 985 dated July 20, 2024, in accordance with the agreement concluded between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention and Fight against Corruption, which includes opening training in an academic master's degree specializing in governance and prevention of corruption, Mr. University President, Professor Mohamed Taher Halilat, supervised on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the Faculty of Economics, Business and Management Sciences, the opening of the university season for this specialty, in the presence of the Vice President of the University in charge of Pedagogy, Professor Abdel Fattah Abi Miloud, and the head of the Quality Assurance Cell, Professor Lamia Omani, and in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty, some faculty executives, professors of the specialty and students.

Decision of the President of the Republic
- Establishing an annual award to be distributed on Science Day called "Innovative Researcher Award"
- The award is worth 2 billion centimes to be distributed as follows:
- 1 billion centimes to be distributed to professors and researchers in their various positions.
- 500 million centimes to the first place winner.
- 300 million centimes to the second place.
- 200 million centimes to the third place.
- 1 billion centimes to be distributed to university students:
- 500 million centimes to the first place winner.
- 300 million centimes to the second place.
- 200 million centimes to the third place.

The Maurice Audin Mathematics Prize is awarded every two years to a laureate practicing in Algeria and to another laureate practicing in France. Each laureate will receive six thousand (6,000) euros or the equivalent in Algerian dinars.

This prize is intended to highlight mathematical work of the highest order, to encourage, develop scientific exchanges and collaborations between Algeria and France; particularly in mathematics, and to honor the memory of Maurice Audin as well as the values ​​he embodies.

It was set up in partnership between the French Academy of Sciences, the French Mathematical Society, the Josette and Maurice Audin Association, the Applied and Industrial Mathematics Society, on the one hand, and the General Directorate of Research and Technological Development of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, on the other hand.

Conditions of award

The call for applications is addressed to any mathematician who meets the following conditions:

· Working in Algeria or France,

· Holder of a doctorate in mathematics (regardless of the sub-discipline),

· born after December 31, 1979.

Applications may be written in French, Arabic or English.

Applications will be examined by a scientific jury composed of equal numbers of members from both countries.

In parallel with the qualitative movement carried out by the Sub-Directorate of Scientific, Cultural and Sports Activities and in coordination with the Vice-Directorate of the University for External Relations and Cooperation, the founding general assembly was held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, in the meeting hall of the University Directorate, to establish a university club with a scientific, cultural and sports character for the benefit of international students. Mr. Hamadi Alaa Eddine chaired the meeting on behalf of Professor Mohamed Mehdi Kadri, Vice-Director of the University in charge of External Relations and Cooperation, and in the presence of Mr. Belkheir Saidat, Head of the Sports Activities Department, and Mr. Bouhafs Khamis, Head of the Cultural Activities Department. The meeting was also attended by international students concerned with establishing the university club, and through it the club was established and its objectives were determined, as well as the members of the executive board managing it.

This step aims to activate the cultural, scientific and sports movement of international students, encourage the exchange of cultures between different societies, and highlight the talents and develop the skills of international students in various fields.

In a move that reflects the collective effort and innovation of the team working at the University of Kasdi Merbah in the Digitac project, the project members announced the release of their new book, which represents the result of the continuous work and unique creativity of a diverse team of competent individuals, headed by Professor Murad Belhaj, who had a great role in launching the project at the University of Ouargla during his presidency of the team. - Under the title Algorithmique et structures de données2, the book includes a set of lectures and exercises with solutions, as this achievement reflects the spirit of cooperation and passion that unites the project members, who worked tirelessly to achieve this goal. Each member of the team contributed his unique experience, which gave the book a comprehensive and professional character.

Based on the agreement concluded between the Ouargla Accounting Council and the University of Kasdi Merbah Ouargla, the start of the training of the second batch of the Council’s judges in the English language, for the first level A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference CECRL.

Noting that the first batch continued and completed its training from the first level A1 to the sixth level C2.
