On January 05, 2021, Kasdi Merbah Ouargla University represented by the Sub-Directorate for Scientific, Cultural, and Sports Activities organized a symbolic ceremony for the distinguished students and scientific clubs who had international contributions and achievements that enabled them to occupy the first ranks, in the presence of Hydrocarbons and renewable energies, the sub-director of activities, the general secretary of the hydrocarbons faculty and the Faculty of Natural and Life Sciences, and the heads of the faculties' activities departments and students

This celebration aims to honor and appreciate the efforts of the university students, who have been clearly active and active in the field of scientific research, and who has been an ideal model for their peers and on the path to success and distinction.

In his speech on this occasion, the university president said, "I follow closely the students' activity, their achievements and their interaction in various fields, and they always prove to us that they have high motivation, creative energies, and a high sense of responsibility towards their university and their community, and this is evident in what we touch and what we see in terms of achievements. Student and supervisor representation internally and externally in many areas, programs, and student activities. I hope that this honor will be the beginning of another path of success.

Within the framework of the national afforestation campaign that was approved by the supreme authorities in the country on the occasion of the national day for afforestation under the slogan “to plant it” and similar to the rest of the nation’s states which seek to plant 40 million trees, ،Kasdi Merbah Ouargla University on December 01, 2020, organized a large afforestation campaign that begins with the pole University 03 to include all other poles in the coming days.

University officials, students, professors, and employees participated in this campaign, and the latter aims to afforestation within the university and increase green areas in order to preserve the environment and contribute to the ecological balance, as well as educate students about the importance of afforestation and planting and its place in our life.

On this occasion, more than 800 trees were planted, as the university directorate made use of all necessary material and human capabilities for this process.

Call for applications - Training of trainers for the establishment of distance learning in the Maghreb

In the context of the global COVID 19 epidemic, AUF Maghreb is launching the training of trainers project for the establishment of distance training systems.
The EAD2020 project is aimed at member establishments of the region (Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco) for the training of a cohort of 120 teachers (40 per country) who would be called upon to set up their courses in remote mode or to join a teaching team. for setting up a distance learning course. The training itself will take place remotely and will give participants access to a triple skill:

1. Scriptwriting and production of online educational resources;
2. The structuring of a module on an online learning environment;
3. Online tutoring and assessment

These three modules will make it possible to make the beneficiaries capable and autonomous for the implementation within their respective establishments of online courses or modules, or even of complete distance training systems.

A call for applications is launched for the formation of a first cohort from November 23 to December 23, 2020. A second session is scheduled for mid-December.
